This review highlights the work of the Independent Expert Scientific Committee on Coal Seam Gas and Large Coal Mining Development (the IESC) for the 2020–2021 financial year.
The Ensham Mine is an existing open-cut and underground bord-and-pillar coal mine, located 35 kilometres east of Emerald in the western part of the central Bowen Basin, and the Fitzroy Basin catchment, in Queensland.
The IESC Information Guidelines Explanatory Note: Characterisation and modelling of geological fault zones is now open for public consultation. Submissions on the draft Explanatory Note close at 5.00pm (AEDT), Friday 18 June 2021.
The proposed project is an expansion to the existing Mount Pleasant Operation, located approximately three kilometres northwest of Muswellbrook in the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales.
